What HypaVault Collects

Only what a purchase needs. Everything you store stays on your phone.

HypaVault collects only what a purchase needs. Everything you store stays encrypted on your phone, and nothing in it reaches Cyberdunes.

  • Setup is just a passcode: HypaVault never asks for an email, phone number or sign-in.
  • Your files stay on your phone: nothing you store reaches Cyberdunes.
  • The app's interface makes no network calls of its own. Its only outside service is RevenueCat, for purchases.
  • Purchases: the App Store or Google Play takes the payment. RevenueCat receives the store's record of the purchase and an anonymous ID, never vault content, names or personal details.
  • Support email and diagnostic reports reach us only if you send them.

Everything is encrypted on the phone with AES-256-GCM before it's saved: file contents, thumbnails, every name, notes and seed words, folder structure and settings. Each vault has its own random 256-bit key, and every file its own key too.

The full details are in the Privacy Policy, and the Security page explains the encryption.

Questions About This Task

Only what a purchase needs. Everything you store stays on your phone.

  1. RevenueCat, which records Pro purchases, receives a random identifier its software creates for the app on your phone. It's never linked to your name, email or store account, which is why the label lists it as data not linked to you.

  2. Your vault doesn't: files are encrypted, stored and opened on the phone. The app goes online only to check Pro purchases with RevenueCat, when you buy or restore Pro and from time to time when it opens.

  3. On iPhone, an iCloud or computer backup may include HypaVault's data in encrypted form, but never the device key, so it opens only with each vault's recovery phrase. On Android, HypaVault's data is left out of Google's cloud backup.

  4. No. HypaVault carries no advertising and has no ad or analytics software inside; it's paid for by people who choose Pro.
