Why We Built It

Most photo vault apps only hide files behind a lock screen, often without real encryption, and many upload everything to their own servers. Files go missing after an update or a new phone. Photos get held hostage when a subscription lapses. And if someone forces you to unlock your phone, a normal lock screen protects nothing.

HypaVault is the vault we wanted instead: everything encrypted on the phone, kept there unless you choose otherwise, and honest about what it can and can't do. We can't open your vaults, reset your passcode or bring back anything you lose, which is why your recovery phrase and your backups matter. It's paid for by people who choose Pro, so there's nothing in it but the vault.

What HypaVault Promises

Truly Local

Your files stay on your phone. They leave only when you choose: a backup you save, a copy for your own other phone, or a shared copy you hand to someone.

Really Encrypted

Every file, name, folder, note and thumbnail is encrypted on the phone with AES-256-GCM before it's saved.

Hidden

Up to three vaults, each behind its own passcode. Nothing on the lock screen or inside a vault shows that the others exist.

Safe Under Pressure

A duress passcode silently erases your real vaults and opens an empty one. Your backups and recovery phrases bring them back later.

Careful with Your Files

Every import is checked against the original, every change saves completely or not at all, and backups are tested before they're called done.

Honest

Lose both your passcode and your recovery phrase, and nobody, including us, can get the data back. The app says so up front.

The Company Behind It

HypaVault is made by Cyberdunes, the brand of Cyberdune Technologies Private Limited, a company incorporated in India and based in Mumbai. Write to us about support, feedback or press. We'll never ask for your passcode or recovery phrase.

  5. By the people who choose Pro, at $24.99 a year after a 3-day free trial or $39.99 once (US prices). HypaVault carries no advertising and never sells information about you, and the Free plan keeps the full encrypted vault.
