Acceptable Use Policy

How HypaVault may and may not be used. It's part of the Terms of Service, and repeats what they say.

The Essentials

A plain-language summary. The full text below is what governs.

  • Lawful Use Only

    Use HypaVault only for lawful purposes, and in line with the Terms of Service.

  • Nothing Illegal, Ever

    Never store, share or send illegal content, including child sexual abuse material.

  • Leave the App Intact

    Don’t copy or reverse engineer the App, or get around its plan limits, licensing or security.

  • Your Content Is Yours to Answer For

    We can’t see what you store, so you alone are responsible for it and for the laws that apply.

This Acceptable Use Policy sets out how HypaVault may and may not be used. It is part of our Terms of Service, the agreement between you and Cyberdune Technologies Private Limited (CIN [TO COMPLETE: Corporate Identity Number (CIN)]), a company incorporated in India with its registered office at [TO COMPLETE: registered office address, Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, with PIN code] (referred to by its brand, “Cyberdunes”, or as “we”, “us” or “our”), and repeats what those Terms say about using the App. If anything here differs from the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service apply.

01Acceptable Use

You agree to use HypaVault only for lawful purposes and in line with these Terms. You must not:

  • store, share or transmit any content that is illegal, including child sexual abuse material, content that infringes others’ rights, or content obtained unlawfully;
  • use HypaVault to plan, commit, hide or facilitate any crime, or to obstruct a lawful investigation;
  • copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of the App, or reverse engineer, decompile or try to extract its source code, except where the law expressly allows this;
  • bypass or interfere with plan limits, licensing or security features;
  • use the App in any way that could damage, disable or impair it or any device or network.

We cannot see what you store. You are solely responsible for your content and for complying with all laws that apply to it and to you.

02Encryption, Export and Local Laws

HypaVault contains encryption technology. Some countries restrict the import, export or use of encryption. You are responsible for complying with all laws that apply to your download and use of HypaVault, including export control and sanctions laws.

03Using Privacy Features Lawfully

HypaVault offers features intended to help you protect your privacy, including a duress passcode, additional vaults and Stealth Mode lock screens and app icons.

You are solely responsible for deciding whether and how to use these features, and for using them lawfully. Destroying data may have legal consequences where you live, for example where you are under a legal duty to preserve it.

04If You Break This Policy

We may suspend or end your licence at any time if you breach these Terms or if we stop offering the App. When these Terms end, you must stop using HypaVault.

Questions About Acceptable Use

What the policy allows and doesn't, as plain answers. The full text above is what governs.

  1. Anything illegal, including child sexual abuse material, content that infringes other people's rights, and content obtained unlawfully. The same applies to sharing or sending it.

  2. No. You must not use it to plan, commit, hide or facilitate any crime, or to obstruct a lawful investigation.

  3. No, because we can't see what you store. That's why you alone are responsible for your content and for following the laws that apply to it and to you.

  4. No, except where the law expressly allows it. You must not copy, modify, distribute, sell or lease any part of HypaVault, or decompile it or try to extract its source code.

  5. No. Bypassing or interfering with plan limits, licensing or security features breaks the policy, as does using the app in any way that could damage, disable or impair it or any device or network.

  6. It depends on the country. HypaVault contains encryption technology, some countries restrict its import, export or use, and you're responsible for following the laws that apply to you, including export control and sanctions laws.

  7. You are. You decide whether and how to use the duress passcode, additional vaults and Stealth Mode, and you must use them lawfully: destroying data may have legal consequences where you live, for example if you're under a legal duty to preserve it.

  8. This policy is part of the Terms of Service, so breaking it breaches the Terms. Cyberdunes may then suspend or end your licence, and once the Terms end you must stop using HypaVault.
