Take Photos and Videos in the Vault

The in-app camera saves straight to the vault, never to your gallery.

HypaVault's in-app camera takes photos and videos straight into the vault, so nothing is ever saved to your phone's gallery.

  1. 1Tap + and choose Take Photo.
  2. 2Take a photo or record a video.
  3. 3It's encrypted and saved in the vault, and appears in the Photos or Videos tab.

Because nothing touches the gallery, there are no originals to delete afterwards, and nothing is picked up by a cloud photo backup. That's the difference from importing from your photo library, where the originals stay until you delete them.

Questions About This Task

The in-app camera saves straight to the vault, never to your gallery.

  1. The camera takes photos and videos straight into the vault, and the microphone records sound with the videos you take. Both are used only on your phone, and nothing they capture is sent to us.

  2. No. The in-app camera saves only to the vault, so there's no copy in your gallery or in a cloud photo backup to clean up.

  3. No. Whenever HypaVault is in the background, a cover hides it, including in the app switcher.
